Children’s Ministry
Welcome to our Children’s Ministry page, where loving God and loving others come to life through biblically based programming that is fun and engaging! At our church, we believe that children are a precious gift from God, as stated in Matthew 19:14: “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.” Our ministry is dedicated to nurturing the spiritual growth of our young ones, fostering a strong foundation in faith, and helping them understand the importance of loving God and their neighbors.
Safety is our top priority. All volunteers in our Children's Ministry undergo thorough background checks and complete the training required by the United Methodist Church’s “Safe Sanctuary” certification to ensure a safe and nurturing environment for every child.

We are so excited for VBS 2026 - Rainforest Falls! Designed by Group Publishing, this VBS is an immersive, nature-themed program where children explore the “nature” of God through a lush, tropical jungle setting. It features four nights of lessons focused on God as creator, protector, and guide.
We hope to see your kids and their friends there! We also hope to see YOU! We need many helpers to execute this event, so please consider volunteering!

Sunday Morning Activities
Every Sunday from 9:30-11:30 AM, we provide a range of activities designed to engage children from birth through age 12:
Nursery (Birth to Age 3): A loving and safe space where our youngest members are cared for while their families attend worship (10:30AM or 8:30AM) or Sunday School (9:30-10:15AM)
Sunday School (Ages 4-12): Children are divided into lower and upper elementary classes. Our curriculum emphasizes Bible learning and applying biblical lessons to everyday life, ensuring that our children grow in their faith and understanding.
Children’s Church: For approximately half of the worship service, children start in the Main Sanctuary with their families, participate in the Children’s moment at the front of the Main Sanctuary, and then move to the Family Life Center for a Bible lesson, craft, and recreational game. We encourage families to decide what works best for them—children are always welcome to stay with their parents or guardians during the service. Wiggles and giggles are not just accepted; they're celebrated!
Sunday Night Kids Club
Join us for Kids Club every Sunday night from 5-6:30 PM. This fun-filled evening includes a snack, a Bible lesson, and plenty of recreational play, providing a great opportunity for fellowship and learning in a relaxed setting.
Special Opportunities
Our ministry also offers various opportunities for children to grow and shine:
Children’s Choir: Performances at least three times a year, allowing kids to share their musical talents and worship through song.
Children and Youth Sunday: A special event in August featuring our Children and Youth involved in all parts of the service leading worship and a backpack blessing to prepare our kids for a successful school year.
Vacation Bible School (VBS): Held each summer, VBS is a week-long adventure filled with Bible stories, crafts, games, and fun!
Summer Camp at Camp Sumatanga: Located in Gallant, Alabama, this beautiful camp offers both day and overnight options, providing children with a chance to connect with nature, make new friends, and deepen their faith.
